You will use this website every day to find the daily plan and to work on class assignments.
When you arrive to class, sit in your assigned seat, check the board for homework and copy it down, then start working on the first assignment or warm-up.

I will hand out the student information page for this class. Please fill it out, and turn it in to the bin on the bookshelf near the door when you are finished.
I will hand out a copy of the class syllabus, and we will go over it as a class.
I will also review the class expectations. In order to be successful in this class, you must come to class prepared every day. Your class supplies are due by Wednesday.

I will send out class reminders using Remind. When I give you permission, you will take out your cellphones and sign up for Remind during this class.

As a class, we will watch the following video. While watching the video, please listen for and write down any phrases that you remember from Spanish I.

- For this week, you should write your warm-ups on the same piece of paper. After you get your Chromebooks, you will complete your warm-ups in Google Drive.

II. Student information
I will hand out the student information page for this class. Please fill it out, and turn it in to the bin on the bookshelf near the door when you are finished.
- If you need to check your phone for any of your answers, please ask me first.
I will hand out a copy of the class syllabus, and we will go over it as a class.
- You must read over the syllabus with a parent or guardian and have them sign it. Return the signed syllabus to the bin by Wednesday, August 26th.

- For this class, you will need a 3-ring binder, a notebook, a pencil, a blue or black pen (no other colors, please), and any handouts I provide.

VI. Writing pre-assessment
Today you will be assessed on your Spanish I writing skills. You will write a short paragraph (5-6 sentences) that responds to the following prompt:

There are dictionaries at the front of the room for you to use. When you finish writing, please turn your paper in to the correct bin on the bookshelf. First period is the top bin, and third period is the middle bin.
If you get finished early, do not use your cell phone to text, play games, or go online.
I have People en Español magazines that you can look through. You can also go to one of the following sites to practice your Spanish:

VI. Writing pre-assessment
Today you will be assessed on your Spanish I writing skills. You will write a short paragraph (5-6 sentences) that responds to the following prompt:
- A new student has arrived at your school. You have been asked to tell him/her what his/her classes are and where they are located. You must also describe 2 of your favorite teachers, talk about your favorite class and explain why it is your favorite class.
You must use:
- four different classes
- at least 5 different adjectives
- ser and estar
- gustar
