- You'll have 15 minutes to finish your letter before switching with a partner.
Step 1: Before writing (antes de escribir)
- Think about the information you want to include in the letter. Create a chart like the one in the book with information that you should include in each part of your letter. Make up the name of the organization and of the manager who will receive your letter.
- Your letter should have a greeting/introduction, a paragraph to develop your ideas, and a conclusion.
Step 2: Rough draft (Borrador)
- Write your draft. Remember to write your letter to the manager of the place where you want to work. Write your ideas following the order shown in the graphic.
- Use vocabulary from the chapter as well as grammar we have learned, including present perfect and preterite.
- Use the sample letter on pg. 237 as a guide to help you format your own letter.
Step 3: Editing
- Trade papers with a partner and read over your partner's letter. Note which parts of the letter are the most effective.
- Do the following: underline verbs in the present perfect. Correct errors with verb formation, spelling, and word agreement (ex. anuncios clasificados instead of anuncios clasificado).
