I. Repasito- sentence corrections
Read the sentences and correct the mistakes. Use your notes.
Te Os
Le Les
Unlike other verbs, gustar is only conjugated in two forms: gusta and gustan.
If the thing being liked is singular or a verb, use gusta.
If the thing being liked is plural, use gustan.
Le can stand for you (usted), he, she or it, and les can stand for you (ustedes) or they. To clarify who you are talking about, use A + noun/pronoun.
Ex. A Juan le gusta la pizza/A usted le gusta la pizza
A Juan y a Sara les gusta la pizza/A ellas les gusta la pizza
A + noun/pronoun can be used for extra emphasis with any indirect object pronoun (ex. A nosotros nos gusta; A él le gusta). Use a mí with me gusta and a ti with te gusta.
To express dislike, put no in front of the verb gustar. This makes gustar negative. Ex. No me gusta la tarea = I don't like homework.
There are other verbs that also function like gustar. Look up the definitions of the words on your worksheet.
After filling out the notes on the front of your worksheet, do the practice on the back of the worksheet.
III. Práctica con gustar
We will do some practice with the verb gustar. Using the whiteboards or a sheet of paper, you will write down the correct form of gustar. I will say a word in Spanish as well as a pronoun (yo, tú, etc.) to show who likes the thing. You will then write the correct pronoun and form of gustar (ex. me gusta; te gusta, etc.)
IV. Proyecto: ¡Todo sobre mí!
You will describe yourself and others in grammatically correct sentences, modifying adjectives to match in gender and number, and correctly conjugating the verb ser.
You may use your "kit" and your notes from the review presentations.
You will create your own blog in Spanish on Weebly.com. Your blog must include pictures and sentences to describe yourself and people in your life.
You will write a draft of your sentences on paper before creating your Weebly blog.
You will have two days in class (Tuesday and Wednesday) and presentations will begin on Thursday 9/18/14. I will be here after school until at least 3:30 if you need any help.
Missing and late submissions will be presented on Monday, 9/22.
No English. All writing must be en español.
No online translators. Evidence of this will result in disciplinary action for cheating.
If you use any words that we haven't used in class, you must define it in parenthesis on the blog.
The presentation shouldn't be read. Please use complete sentences.
