III. Día de los Muertos
Día de los Muertos (or "Day of the Dead" in English) is a major holiday celebrated throughout Mexico as well as other Latin American countries. It was celebrated this past weekend.
Watch the following video to learn about Day of the Dead:
- Go to Google Classroom
- Find the assignment called U3 Irregular Verbs
- Open the document called U3.1 WKST irregular verbs and follow the instructions. You may need to create a separate document in Google Drive to write your answers.
- When you finish document U3.1, open document U3.2 and follow the instructions.
- You can write your U3.2 answers in the same document.
- When you finish, click the blue "Turn In" button in Google Classroom.
III. Día de los Muertos

Open a document called "Day of the Dead questions" in Google Drive and answer the following questions:
When you finish, upload the document under the assignment called "Día de los Muertos activities" in Google Classroom.

Select the assignment "Día de los Muertos activities"
Open the document "Día de los Muertos webquest"
Read the instructions at the top of the page
Write your answers in the document.
Click "Turn in" when you finish.
When you finish with the webquest, create a document comparing Halloween and Day of the Dead. What do the two holidays have in common? What are the differences? How are they each celebrated? Are they equally important in their respective cultures?

If there is still time, you should use it to finish up assignments or study some more for the quiz.

IV. Stem-changing verb practice
- Go to Conjuguemos
- Click the orange Student Sign-In button and log in (username: first and last name; password NC Wise number; ex. johnsmith; 12345)
- Click "Spanish verbs" on the left
- Choose "PRESENT TENSE: stem-changing verbs"
- Check the box that says "Don't time me"
- Click start
- Do at least 30 conjugations with 90% accuracy.
- Click "Record/Send results" when you finish
