I. Writing assessment
Today, you will write in Spanish using your notes, vocabulary, and grammar concepts that you have learned this semester. You may also use the dictionaries.
Scenario: You are on vacation in a Spanish-speaking country, and you are sending an email home to describe your trip so far and what you plan to do. Your letter should be at least one paragraph of 6-8 sentences.
Please include:
When you finish with the writing assessment, turn your paper in to me. You may then take out your Chromebook and work on the speaking task or improving your Weebly projects and writing the reflection.
Reminder: Speaking assessment begins tomorrow. Weebly project improvements and reflections due Friday.

- You won't be able to use your Chromebook for the writing. When you finish and turn this assessment in, you may use your Chromebook to work on other sections of the exam.
Scenario: You are on vacation in a Spanish-speaking country, and you are sending an email home to describe your trip so far and what you plan to do. Your letter should be at least one paragraph of 6-8 sentences.
- Use the present tense of ser and estar to describe where you are (city/country) and what it is like.
- Use the preterite to describe what you did that week including places you visited, things you saw, and food you ate.
- Use the simple future (ir + a+ infinitive) to describe what you will do the rest of your trip and querer + infinitive to describe what you want to do (ej. Yo quiero visitar el museo El Prado).
Please include:
- A greeting. ex. Hola; Querido/a ("Dear" in Spanish; must agree in gender and number)
- At least 5 verbs in the preterite and 5 verbs expressed in the simple future.
- At least 5 adjectives to describe the place you're visiting.
- Use gustar in the preterite to say whether you liked or disliked the activities you did.
