Today we will learn the preterite tense of ser and ir. Many verbs in the preterite are irregular and must be memorized. The best way to do this is to practice.
I will go through the presentation with you, but you can look back over it after as well.

B. Investigación: Do you think all countries have the same type of typical day that we have in the United States? Choose a Spanish speaking country and research what a typical day is like. You look up the information in English, but write your description in Spanish. Keep your sentences simple. Ex. En España, la gente almuerza a las dos. (In Spain, people eat lunch at 2). "La gente" means people and is singular.

- Read the instructions and complete the document
- When you finish, click "Turn In" in Google Classroom (do not share it with me through Google Drive)

- The link above is to an article and a graphic that describes the daily routine of various creative people.
- If you are a native speaker/are comfortable reading in Spanish, read the article and then write a paragraph or so answering theses questions in Spanish:
- ¿Qué piensas de las rutinas diarias de estas personas creativas?
- ¿Te gustaría tener una rutina similar? ¿Por qué sí or no?
- ¿Cuáles son unas ventajas de esas rutinas diarias?
- Whether you can read the article or not, you can do the rest of this activity. The graphic is in English and easy to figure out. You can see a larger version here.
- Look at how the different people in the graphic spent their days.
- Choose two people from the graphic and describe their daily routines in Spanish. Give the times they did each activity and use verbs you know or could easily look up. Ex. Kurt Vonnegut se duerme a las seis.
- Label each routine with the names. Ex. "La rutina diaria de Kurt Vonnegut."
