You will answer questions in Spanish about the video. The questions can be found in Google Classroom.
- Go to Google Classroom.
- Open the assignment called "U2 Listening Comprehension: En la estación del tren"
- Open the document, read the instructions and respond to the questions.
- Click "Turn In" when you finish.
III. Writing assessment
When you complete the listening assessment, you will work on this short writing assessment. Read the scenario, and make sure you include the necessary information. Turn your writing in to Google Classroom.
You are traveling from one city in your Spanish-speaking country to meet up with a friend who is in another city in the same country. You will write an email to you friend to let them know when to expect you.
You need to tell them the following information:
To format an email, start with a greeting. "Dear" in Spanish is "Querido" or "Querida" followed by the recipient's name. Hit enter twice and write the body (the message) of your email. When you finish the message, hit enter twice again, and say good bye in some way. "Sincerely" in Spanish is "Saludos." Write a comma after your good-bye, hit enter once, and write your name. This is an example of how to format your email:
Querido Juan,
Viajaré a Sevilla mañana. Llegaré en autobus en la estación Plaza de Armas. Mi llegada es el veinte de marzo a las diez de la mañana. Quedaré en Sevilla hasta el veintitres de marzo. Mi autobus saldrá de la estación a las dos de la tarde. ¡Nos veremos pronto!

- Open the document, click "File," and choose "Publish to the Web."
- Choose "Embed" from the window that pops up.
- Click "Publish" and "Ok"
- Copy the embed code that appears
- Log in to Weebly and click Edit
- Go the the page for "Unidad 1/2"
- Click the "Embed Code" box on left of the screen, and drag it to the middle of the page.
- Paste the embed code you copied from Google Drive
- Click out of the box and your email should appear.
- Click Publish.
