- Write down the correct form of ser or estar on your board to complete the sentence.
- Hold up your boards.
- Van a practicar en parejas.
- You will each get a handout with ser and estar practice.
- Each pair will also get a die.
- Student 1 will start working on Actividad A while their partner starts to roll the die.
- As soon as the partner rolls a 6, Student 1 stops writing, and Student 2 starts working on Actividad A (on their own paper.)
- Student 1 rolls the die until they get a 6. Then, student 1 continues working on Actividad A, and student 2 has to roll the die again.
Then, we will go over the answers as a class.
After we go over Actividad A, complete Actividad B solos (alone) o en parejas (pairs)
We will continue with some of the presentations today, and we will continue throughout this week. All presentations must be completed by Friday.
- While you are presenting, make sure you balance out looking at your presentation with looking out at the audience. If you can, have someone else advance slides for you. Don't turn your back to the audience.
- When someone else is presenting, be respectful. Don't talk to each other, use your phones or do other work during another person's presentation.
- Late assignments lose 10 points each day, up to 40 points.
- You have until February 11 to turn in the assignment late for a maximum grade of 60%.
To wrap up the review unit, you will work on a final assessment. You will have the choice between two options.
The first option is to create a calendar page in Spanish for 1 month. I have paper copies of the instructions as well as a link to the instructions below.
I will briefly go over the requirements for this option.
I also have examples you can see. You can choose to do your calendar page on paper or on a computer. If you do yours on the computer, you must turn it into Google Classroom.
The second option is to write a 100-word biography in Spanish of a famous Hispanic person and include a picture of your person as well as 3-4 pictures that represent aspects of their life.
I will briefly go over the requirements for this option.
You can choose to do this option on paper or on the computer as well. Either way, it should be neat and colorful. If done on the computer, it should be turned into Google Classroom.
Read through the instructions carefully for whichever option you choose.
We'll have about 30 minutes in class today and 30 minutes in class tomorrow to work on this.
It will be due at the beginning of class on Monday.
You will complete some online activities listed in the linked document below to review some important Spanish 1 topics.
- You will do at least 15 activities by this Friday, 1 de febrero at 11:59pm.
- You will take screenshots of the activities with your score, and you will put the screenshots into a Google document.
- You will turn the document into Google Classroom.
