You will practice describing what you like with some activities.
First, let's review how to use gustar.
You will talk to 10 different people and ask what they like from the list below.
In the warm-up section of your notebook, create a chart with the following columns:
- Nombre (name)
- Pregunta 1 (question 1)
- Pregunta 2 (question 2)
For each person you talk to, ask them if they like 2 of the items from the list.
Use the example to help you:

Ejemplo: Los deportes (sports):

- Sí, me gustan los deportes
- No, no me gustan los deportes.

- Write the name of who you talk to.

Write down their answer:
- Sí, le gusta(n)

Después de 10 minutos: you will work on the back of the "Gustar Worksheet" from yesterday.
After 10 minutes, we will go over the answers.
- For part A:

Use gustar to say if you like or do not like each item listed.
- Ex. Los deportes --> No me gustan los deportes

Then, use gustar to say if your friend Luis likes or doesn't like each item:
- Los deportes --> No le gustan los deportes.
- For part B:

Use gustar to say if you all (we) like each item or not.
- Ex. el golf --> Nos gusta el golf.

Then, use gustar to ask your friends if they like the same item or not.
- Ex. el golf --> ¿Les gusta el golf?
We will do a listening activity to review "Me gusta" and verbs.
I will give you the lyrics to a song with some blanks.
We will listen to the song once, and you will try to fill in the lyrics that you are able to hear.
- The lyrics repeat themselves and most of them are words you have heard before.
Check over your answers.
Write your names and pass up the song lyrics when you finish.
Practicamos los adjetivos con El conejito malo.
When it is your team's turn, I will project a picture and a sentence like "La chica es ________."
One person will go at a time.
- You may get help from the person next to you or a person in front of you.
- Ex. For a picture of a blonde girl, you could say "La chica es rubia."
- Pay attention to the form of the adjective (masculine/feminine and singular/plural)
- Some slides could have more than one adjective that makes sense.
I will then ask "¿Continuar o parar?" (Continue or stop?)
- If you choose to continue, I show the slide to the next person on the same team
- If you choose to stop, I show the slide to the next person on the opposing team.
On your turn, if you're shown a picture of un conejito (a rabbit), you lose all your points that aren't banked.
- If your team has at least 4 points, you can bank them for the rest of the game. When you do this, the next team takes a turn.
El conejito malo:
Let's review the verb ser and it's uses.
Let's look at the following sentences. Which uses of ser do the sentences have?
1. Ella es inteligente.
2. Nosotros somos de Colombia.
3. Juan es el amigo de Carlos.
4. Son las tres de la tarde.
5. Mi papá es doctor.
6. Tú eres muy alta.
En los cuadernos, go to the warm-up section.
Miramos una presentación.
For each slide, write 2-3 sentences using ser to describe the people.
- Sentences can include physical/personality traits, jobs, origin, etc.
You will review descriptions and the adjectives for Friday's quiz by working on a packet.
For each celebrity pictured, write 4 sentences.
Look at the model on the first page.
This packet will be due by the end of the week.
Work on the following activities to practice ser and how to use it. Take screenshots and show me by Friday.

If you have written out your script, you can record yourself today.
- If your phone can't record or you can't upload to Google Classroom from your phone, you can use a computer and record via Vocaroo.com. When you finish recording, click "Click here to save >>" and copy the link created. Turn that link into Google Classroom.
- If you have not written out your script, you need to work on that now and finish it for homework if needed.
